Terms and Conditions

These Terms and Conditions (the "Terms") govern your access to and use of Gpakit at gpakit.com (the "Site"), operated by Gpakit ("we", "us", "our"). By accessing or using the Site, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Site.

1. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years of age (or 16 in the EEA/UK) to use the Site. By using the Site you represent and warrant that you meet this age requirement and that you have the legal capacity to enter into a binding agreement.

2. Informational Purposes Only — No Professional Advice

The calculators, explanations, examples, and other content on the Site are provided for general educational and informational purposes only. They are not a substitute for professional advice. Specifically, nothing on the Site constitutes:

  • Financial, investment, tax, accounting, or retirement-planning advice.
  • Legal advice or the establishment of an attorney–client relationship.
  • Medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment.
  • Engineering, construction, or safety-critical recommendations.
  • A solicitation or offer to buy or sell any financial product or service.

Always consult a qualified professional — a licensed accountant, attorney, physician, engineer, or other relevant expert — before making any decision based on information from the Site. Your reliance on any information on the Site is solely at your own risk.

3. Accuracy of Calculations and Content

We take reasonable care to verify the formulas and content published on the Site. However:

  • Calculators produce estimates based on the inputs you supply and the general-purpose assumptions documented alongside each calculator. Real-world outcomes depend on factors we cannot model.
  • Tax rates, interest rates, regulations, and statistical data change over time; content may not reflect the most recent updates at the moment you view it.
  • Rounding, browser number handling, and locale formatting may cause minor display differences from official sources.
  • We make no representation or warranty that results are suitable for any specific legal, financial, medical, or safety decision.

4. Permitted Use — Limited License

Subject to your compliance with these Terms, we grant you a revocable, non-exclusive, non-transferable, limited license to access and use the Site for your own personal, non-commercial informational purposes. You may:

  • View, print, and save Site pages for personal reference.
  • Link to Site pages from other websites in a way that is not misleading and does not imply endorsement.
  • Quote short excerpts with appropriate attribution to the Site and a link back to the source page.

5. Prohibited Uses

You agree not to, and not to permit any third party to:

  • Copy, reproduce, republish, mirror, scrape, or otherwise exploit a substantial portion of the Site's content without our prior written consent.
  • Use the content to train, fine-tune, or evaluate any artificial-intelligence or machine-learning model without our prior written consent.
  • Modify, reverse engineer, or create derivative works of Site content except as expressly permitted by applicable law.
  • Use automated means (bots, crawlers, scrapers) to access the Site at a rate or volume that burdens our infrastructure, or to circumvent any technical protections.
  • Frame, deep-link, hot-link, or embed Site pages or assets without our prior written consent.
  • Use the Site to transmit malware, unsolicited advertising, or unlawful content.
  • Interfere with the operation, security, or integrity of the Site, including attempting to probe, scan, or test vulnerabilities.
  • Circumvent, disable, or interfere with any advertising displayed on the Site, except through consumer opt-out mechanisms referenced in our Privacy Policy.
  • Impersonate any person or entity, or misrepresent your affiliation with a person or entity.
  • Use the Site in any manner that violates any applicable local, national, or international law or regulation.

6. Intellectual Property

The Site and all of its content — including text, calculators, source code, layouts, graphics, logos, and compilations — are owned by Gpakit or its licensors and are protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual-property laws. Except for the limited license in Section 4, no right or license is granted to you by implication, estoppel, or otherwise. Any rights not expressly granted are reserved.

Trademarks, service marks, and product names referenced on the Site are the property of their respective owners. Their mention does not imply any affiliation or endorsement.

7. Third-Party Services, Advertising, and Links

The Site is supported by third-party advertising (see our Privacy Policy). The Site may also link to third-party websites, products, or services. We do not control, endorse, or assume responsibility for any third-party content, advertising, products, or services. Your use of any third-party service is subject to that third party's terms and privacy policy. Gpakit is not responsible for any loss or damage arising from your use of, or reliance on, any third-party service.

8. User Submissions and Feedback

If you send us feedback, suggestions, or ideas about the Site (for example, a request to build a new calculator), you grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, perpetual, royalty-free license to use that feedback for any purpose without obligation or compensation to you. You represent that your submission does not infringe the rights of any third party.

9. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE SITE AND ALL CONTENT ARE PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE", WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, NON-INFRINGEMENT, OR ACCURACY. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SITE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, SECURE, OR FREE OF HARMFUL COMPONENTS, OR THAT RESULTS OBTAINED FROM THE SITE WILL BE ACCURATE OR RELIABLE. YOUR USE OF THE SITE IS AT YOUR SOLE RISK. Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion of certain warranties, so some of the above exclusions may not apply to you.

10. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, IN NO EVENT SHALL GPAKIT, ITS AFFILIATES, OFFICERS, EMPLOYEES, CONTRIBUTORS, OR LICENSORS BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, EXEMPLARY, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO LOST PROFITS, LOST DATA, LOSS OF GOODWILL, OR ANY DAMAGES ARISING FROM DECISIONS YOU MAKE IN RELIANCE ON CALCULATOR OUTPUT OR OTHER SITE CONTENT, EVEN IF ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES. OUR TOTAL AGGREGATE LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO THE SITE OR THESE TERMS SHALL NOT EXCEED ONE HUNDRED UNITED STATES DOLLARS (US $100). Some jurisdictions do not allow the limitation or exclusion of liability for incidental or consequential damages, so the above limitation may not apply to you in full.

11. Indemnification

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Gpakit, its affiliates, and their respective officers, employees, contractors, and agents from and against any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, costs, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising out of or relating to (a) your use of the Site, (b) your violation of these Terms, (c) your violation of any rights of a third party, or (d) any content you submit to us.

12. Changes to the Site

We may add, modify, suspend, or discontinue any calculator, feature, or portion of the Site at any time without notice. We are not liable to you or any third party for any such modification, suspension, or discontinuation.

13. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. The updated version will be indicated by a new "Effective date" at the top of this page. For material changes, we will display a notice on the Site for at least 14 days. Continued use of the Site after the effective date of revised Terms constitutes acceptance of those revised Terms.

14. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution

These Terms and any dispute arising out of or relating to them or your use of the Site are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, United States, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. To the extent permitted by law, you and Gpakit agree that the courts located in the State of Delaware, United States will have exclusive jurisdiction, and you waive any objection to venue in those courts. Nothing in this Section limits any non-waivable consumer rights you may have under the law of your place of residence.

15. Severability; No Waiver; Assignment

If any provision of these Terms is held invalid or unenforceable, that provision will be enforced to the maximum extent permissible, and the remaining provisions will remain in full force and effect. Our failure to enforce any right or provision is not a waiver of that right or provision. You may not assign or transfer these Terms without our prior written consent; we may assign them freely.

16. Entire Agreement

These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and Gpakit concerning the Site and supersede all prior or contemporaneous understandings on that subject.
